Our patients are at the very center of everything that your dentist in Egham does. Our practice is constantly evolving as we revolutionise our treatment plans and make space for new and exciting technology and ideas.
We listen intently to your suggestions, desires and concerns regarding your treatment experiences and smile goals and actively apply these to our dental practice. We have proudly created an inviting and warm atmosphere that is professional and technologically advanced whilst still being personal and respectful. We trust that you will feel confident in the dentist in Egham’s abilities to provide you with a treatment experience that is comfortable and rewarding.
Upon your initial consultation with us, your dentist in Egham will want to know a little about your medical and dental history as well as your lifestyle habits and goals for your time that you spend here with us.
We can use a questionnaire to quickly take note of some of this information, but we also like to sit down and talk to you to get to know you as a person a little better and to begin to establish a positive relationship.
Only by working together are we able to achieve the results that you desire. All of our team members have been specifically chosen for both their outstanding academic achievements and in-depth experience in their role, but also for their ability to communicate with their patients in a non-judgemental, friendly and compassionate way.
We hope that you begin to feel relaxed and comfortable enough to be able to feel free to express your concerns and goals regarding your smile. This initial consultation we believe is the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship where we are able to monitor and maintain the ongoing health of your smile.
What happens during an initial consultation?
Apart from getting to know you, we will of course take a look at your teeth, gums, neck and face to ensure that your oral health is optimal. We do this in a number of ways.
You will be subject to intra oral and extra oral examinations, where we first palpate the jaw and neck to identify any lumps or bumps that might be of a concern. Education is important and we will also talk you through what signs you should look out for between consultations.
We use x-rays and digital scans to take an internal look at your teeth and jaw. The technology has advanced immensely and we can now spot even the earliest signs of decay through these devices as well as high magnification and intensive lighting.
We use these methods routinely to ensure that you are provided with the best possible treatment possible. We can confidently and accurately identify points of concern and diagnose your situation quickly, as to move onto an effective treatment plan as soon as possible.
At the end of the initial consultation, we will take the time to walk you through your results and offer a range of different options that are available to you. You are then able to make an informed decision about what course of action you believe it right to take.
